Personal Freedom
Many people have different definitions of what freedom means to them. However, I see freedom of a way to express yourself in different ways. The freedom that is the most important to me is the freedom of Rights. Some of the Rights that are vital are culture, freedom of speech, and religion.
As a Hispanic, culture plays a big role in my life, such as Mexican traditions. Because America is so diverse, I am grateful to be given the opportunity to express my culture. In most of other countries, there has been one or two different cultures. I can not imagine being put to shame for celebrating my culture.
Secondly, freedom of speech has become an issue in America. The freedom speech is the right to articulate someones opinions and ideas without the fear of what other people will say or think of them. For instance, not long ago a valedictorian named Larissa Martinez from Texas declared she was undocumented during her graduation speech. Therefore, she had left Mexico to get a better life and education in Texas for her and her family. Because, she was brave enough that she was undocumented other are not scared to speak up for themselves.
Lastly, freedom of religion is an important religion to carry. As a Catholic family in my household, religion is very important to us. It is great to have a freedom to practice in your religion.
Many people get killed for their religion and for what they believe in. For example, back in the earlier days the people who were most killed for their religion were Christians. During the persecution of pleggans in the late Roman Empire during Constantine the Great, many Christians were killed for their religion.
